Attention all sailors age 3 – grade 4! Set sail with Patch the Pirate on a weekly adventure.

Sailor’s Pledge
Sailor’s Salute — I pledge allegiance to the Lord Jesus Christ, whose name I love and whose praise I sing. As a faithful sailor in Patch the Pirate Club, I will do my best to serve my Savior and obey His Word.
What is Patch the Pirate Club?
Patch the Pirate Club is an exciting and instructive club for children in grades one through four. This program is designed to instill Biblical truth into our church’s children to equip them to live successful, Christ-centered lives.
The Sailor’s log provides the tools children need for daily spiritual growth, and weekly musical training. Sailors earn awards pins, medals and other incentives for faithfulness and good behavior.
Purpose of Patch the Pirate Club
1. Build Godly character into the lives of children
2. Present a positive witness for the Lord Jesus Christ
3. Worship the Lord and train children in God-honoring music
4. Provide an exciting club meeting that every child will enjoy

Catch-Up Sunday
Dear Church Family,
It’s hard to believe that summer is already winding down! As we look toward the end of August, I want to invite you to be part of a special day at church—Catch-Up Sunday, August 30th, our fifth Sunday fellowship this month.
- 9:30 AM – Sunday School
- 10:30 AM – Morning Worship
- 12:00 PM – Lunch (Hamburgers and hotdogs provided by the church. Bring a side to share. Our theme is “anything that goes with catsup.”)
- 1:00 PM – Singspiration
We chose the name “Catch-Up Sunday” because there are a couple of areas where we have some catching up to do!
First, we want to catch up in attendance. We’ve missed some of our church family who haven’t been able to be with us as regularly as they once were. (If you haven’t been to church in a while, this is a great Sunday to come back!)
This is also a great day to invite a friend, family member, or neighbor to join us in worship and fellowship. Let’s not just hope that people come: let’s go after them and bring them with us. Some of our friends can no longer safely drive on their own, and a simple offer to pick them up could make all the difference.
Our goal isn’t simply to have a larger number in the attendance book. We want our church family together because every person matters, every person has a place, and every person is an encouragement to someone else.
Second, we want to catch up financially. As you know, our church ministries depend upon the faithful tithes and offerings of God’s people.
I am not writing this letter to pressure anyone to give beyond what God has provided or directed. Rather, I’m asking each of us to prayerfully consider what part we can have in helping our church catch up.
Perhaps God would have you give your normal offering faithfully. Perhaps He has provided an opportunity for you to give something extra. Perhaps you could make up some of what you have been unable to give earlier in the year. Whatever the Lord lays upon your heart, we simply want to be faithful with what He has entrusted to us.
The Bible says,
“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” ~ 2 Corinthians 9:7
Our desire is not merely to “catch up” a set of numbers on a financial report. We want to see our church family catch up in faithfulness, fellowship, service, and generosity.
Hebrews 10:24-25 says:
“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
That is really the heart of Catch-Up Sunday.
Come back. Bring someone with you. Pray about giving. Encourage one another. Let’s catch up together.
We are looking forward to a wonderful day of fellowship and worship on Sunday, August 30th, and I hope you will make plans now to be here.
Thank you for your faithfulness, your prayers, your love for the Lord, and your love for our church family. I am thankful for what God has done through our church, and I am excited about what He is going to continue to do through us as we faithfully follow Him.

Return to Camp Moose on the Loose

Join us for an exciting week of Vacation Bible School at Emmanuel Baptist Church! Kids will enjoy an evening filled with Bible lessons, games, music, crafts, snacks, and plenty of fun in a campground-themed adventure.
What Will Kids Learn?
Life isn’t always easy, and everyone needs someone to guide them through its challenges. At Return to Camp Moose on the Loose, children will discover that the greatest guide they could ever follow is Jesus Christ.
Throughout the week, we’ll follow Peter’s journey through the Gospels and the Book of Acts, seeing both his successes and failures as he learned to trust and obey Jesus. These true Bible accounts will help children understand how they, too, can follow Christ through the challenges they face every day.
Each evening includes a clear presentation of the Gospel and practical Bible teaching that points children to Christ.
Who Can Attend?
Vacation Bible School is open to children age 4 through those entering 6th grade.

Fall Revival Services 2025
Join us November 8-12 for a week of special services with Evangelist Caleb Reed as we seek the Lord together and allow His Word to stir our hearts. Our Saturday men’s rally begins with lunch at 12pm (noon) followed by times of singing, preaching, and prayer. Sunday services will follow our regular service schedule, and Monday through Wednesday services will be held at 7:00 PM. Each service will be a time of Christ-centered preaching, prayer, and spiritual renewal for the whole family. We’re asking everyone to invite someone—a friend, neighbor, or coworker—who needs encouragement and truth from God’s Word. Come with an open heart and expect God to work in these special days!
About the Evangelist
Caleb grew up in Maine and was called to preach while attending Baptist College of Ministry, where he earned both his B.A. and M.A. degrees. He and his wife Emma were married in 2018 and have three children—Gilbert, Ginger, and Gavin. Caleb enjoys basketball, volleyball, golf, American history, hamburgers, and good coffee.

Junk Yard Redemption
As kids see restoration in the junkyard, they’ll explore God’s redemption plan in Scripture to make sense of our broken world, experience His help for today, and find sure hope for the future!
We’re excited to announce that our next Vacation Bible School will be held July 13–17, 2026, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM each evening. Our VBS is for children age 4 through grade 6. We’re already looking forward to a fun-filled week of Bible lessons, games, music, and more!
If you plan to attend Vacation Bible School, we would appreciate it if you would let us know ahead of time by calling the church or sending us an email. While advance notice is not required, it helps us prepare for the number of children who will be attending. Registration will take place on the first night of VBS, so there is no need to register in advance. We look forward to welcoming your family!
The following individuals have been nominated to serve in leadership positions during our 2024-2025 fiscal year. It is the belief of the nominating committee and the nominated individuals that they are biblically qualified to accept these nominations. Only men who meet the requirements of being blameless, both he and his wife not having been divorced, and exemplifying godliness in both their character and family are to be elected to these offices. The pastor and deacons shall expect the hearty cooperation of each church member as they serve at Emmanuel Baptist Church.”
